Save a little money and learn how to freeze corn on the cob, so you can have it any time!

I'm sure you've seen packaged frozen corn on the cob in your supermarket. I've even purchased them, only to be disappointed by the lack of taste. So, the other day, I was out for a ride, and stopped by a produce stand. I bought a dozen ears of corn, which is way too much for me and my son, and decided to freeze them.

Method

Remove the husks from the corn. Clean each ear as best as you can.

I like to break the corn in half.

Place in boiling water.

When the corn is cooked, remove from pan. Rinse with cold water.

Place in a strainer and let dry.

Put in ziplock type bags, and seal. Try to remove as much air as possible.

Freeze!

You are all set. Just remove the amount you want, when needed.
