Shrimp Scampi Recipe

This Shrimp Scampi Recipe is so easy to prepare, you will be tempted to serve it all the time.

I always think about Shrimp Scampi as a special meal for holidays. Once in a while, it's nice to break things up and have something really special.

By the way, this is another one of those recipes where you need to put the water on first. So grab a large pot. Fill it with water. While you cook the shrimp in garlic sauce, bring the water to a boil to cook your pasta of choice.

I would say this recipe serves four. Many times in my family, this is served as a side dish to a main meal. Your choice.

I hope you enjoy.

Ingredients

Olive Oil

2-3 Cloves Garlic How to Buy and Prepare Fresh Garlic

1 Stick Butter

Oregano

Salt and Pepper

24-30 Medium Size Shrimp

1 Pound Angel Hair Pasta or Linguini

Shrimp

Method

Cover the bottom of a frying pan with olive oil. Put heat on low. Add 1 stick butter. Chopped Garlic. Sprinkle oregano. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Scampi Sauce

The sauce is ready when the butter has melted and the garlic has softened. Make sure everything is gently stirred.

Add the shrimp. Turn up the heat to medium. Stir.

If you bought previously cooked shrimp that was frozen, this step will take moments. If you bought raw shrimp, the shrimp is cooked when it turns pink.

When cooked, pour over the cook pasta, and serve! As you can see, this is really easy Shrimp Scampi.
