cake baking

by rehan
(delhi)

Hi, I'm Rehan.

Today I caught your website on the net. I really love to be your member and share ideas & comments.
Well, I want to ask you that when I make cakes, they
do not turn out well. Is there a mistake in my recipe? I don't
know how to make it well, and how much time to bake the
cake & please mention a correct recipe for spong cake. How
much time to beating and baking. Please tell me immediately.
I will wait for your reply on my mail box. Thanks

Response to Cake Baking Question
by: Antoinette

Rehan,

Thank you for finding my website. I'm not sure what you are doing when you bake a cake, or even what your recipe is. Hopefully, this can help.

Make sure your oven is preheated before you put the cake in it.

When you mix the cake, do not stop until the batter is smooth (unless you have included fruit).

To check if your cake is fully cooked, remove it from the oven, then pierce it with a knife in the center. Remove. If the knife is clean, the cake is done. If the knife has batter on it, put it back in the oven, and try again in a few minutes.

I don't have a sponge cake recipe in front of me right now to post. Today, I'm making Ricotta Pie, so the sponge cake will have to wait, but I will move that up on my priority list. Of course, if you or anyone else would like to post your recipe, it would be very appreciated.

I hope this helps. I hope to see you again in this forum.

Antoinette
