Homemade Meatball Recipe

I'm very happy to share my Homemade Meatball Recipe with you. Making meatballs is one of those things that you either love to do, or can't stand to do. The results make it worth it.

Imagine serving your family a delicious Spaghetti and Meatballs dinner! Or how about feasting on meatball subs!

We've all been tempted to buy the already made meatballs. I've done it, and always regretted not taking the time to make my own. Store bought just don't taste as good.

Here is my recipe for Italian meatballs.

Ingredients

1 pound Ground Beef

1 Egg

1 Onion – diced

2 cloves Garlic – diced

1/3 Cup Olive Oil

1 bunch fresh Parsley – chopped fine into 1/4 cup

Salt and Pepper to taste

1 Cup Italian Bread Crumbs – Or take 2 slices of Italian Bread, bake in oven for 10-15 minutes at 325 degrees, then grate into pieces

Method

In a large bowl, mix everything except the read crumbs.

Be prepared (wash hands) to squeeze everything together with your hands.

Slowly add Bread crumbs until everything packs together firmly.

Form into 1-inch balls.

Brown Meatballs in a frying pan with water and a touch of Olive Oil.

Brown Meatballs evenly on all sides.

See sauce recipe and treat Meatballs the same as the rest of the meats by putting the Meatballs aside, and the drippings into a big pot.

If you are also going to make sauce, make these Meatballs first.

Then brown the rest of the sauce meats.

The Meatballs can be made separately from the Sauce.

You can freeze them if you are not ready to eat them, and use them in a dish another time. I recommend freezing them in a plastic freezer bag.
