Homemade Cake Recipes

I am starting the homemade cake recipes section with my Grandmother's Fruit Cake.

This is not the fruit cake "everyone" always makes fun of during Christmas. Remember those cakes? They usually arrived at your house in the mail and were as hard as a rock, and as old as the hills.

This cake is a delight! Freezes Well. Tastes Great! And compared to buying a cake, this recipe will save you a ton of money. A must try.

When I was a little girl, I would visit my grandmother and watch her make this cake. My grandmother never baked or cooked anything using measurements, so one day I just tried my best and wrote down everything she did.

Now, decades later, I found this recipe, and I get to remember the time I spent with my grandmother. I am just so thankful I kept this recipe.

I hope you like it.
